
Somali Militray Court hands life sentences to plane bombing masterminds
The commissioner of the armed forces military court Lieutenant Hassan Ali Noor Shuute has announced the verdict and said that the penalties of Awil Mohamoud Maow and Areys Hashi Abdi as life sentence when they are not present at the hall where the verdict was passed.
Mr. Abdiweli Mohamoud Maow was the in charge officer of the aviation department at Aden Ade international airport, and is been approved to be the man who was behind the preparation and facilitated the laptop which was used for the explosion of the Dallo airline as per passed verdict.
The court has found out that Mr. Areys Hashi is a member of the terror group in Somalia Al-Shabab and is the man who has lured all the others charged in the mission and promised them all unspecified lucrative amount of money.
The other suspected have been categorized in this manner Abshir Mohamed Moalim, Safia Abdullahi Hassan, were sentenced up to 4 years in a military prison, while Libaan Mohamed Yalahow, Omar Muhidiin Hussein [Qooreey] and Mohamed Abdi Elmi were sentenced up to 1 year.
Bashir Abdullahi Afrah, Ali Noor Salad Diriye and Aden Dahir Diiriye were sentenced up to 6 months in a military prison
On the other hand the court has given back their freedoms five of the suspects whose names are Omar Moalim Alasow, Ali Mohamoud Abdirahman, Abdullahi Abdulkadir Abuukar, Ismail Mohamed Hirsi and Farah Khalif Ali Mohamed.

A Somali military court convicted two men of being the masterminds of a bomb explosion in a Somali airliner which made an emergency landing at the Mogadishu airport in February and handed them to life term sentences.
