Djibouti and Saudi Arabia will reinforce their cooperation in the area of security, local media reported on Monday.

An agreement in this regard was signed on Sunday in Riyadh between Djibouti’s Interior Minister Hassan Omar Mohamed and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Muhammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Kingdom’s Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister.

According to Djibouti News Agency, the agreement will reinforce coordination between the two countries, especially in the fight against terrorism.

Still according to the same source, Djibouti’s interior minister reaffirmed his country’s commitment to preservation of Saudi Arabia’s security and stability.

An agreement for installation of a Saudi Arabia military base in Djibouti is still under discussion between the authorities of the two countries.
