The Federal Government of Somalia and the United Nations today signed the Implementation Guide of the 2025 Roadmap to strengthen the protection of children affected by armed conflict. The Guide was signed by H.E. Amb. Ahmed Moallin Fiqi, Minister of Defence of the Federal Republic of Somalia; Mr James Swan, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Somalia; and Ms Sandra Latouff, UNICEF Representative in Somalia. The signing reflects sustained national reforms and reinforces institutional accountability across the security sector.

The exhibition, which runs for four days, is being held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC) in Cairo.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Mr. Abdifatah Abdulkadir Farah, together with the EU Ambassador to Somalia, Amb. Francesca Di Mauro, jointly closed an important training programme focused on strengthening and empowering Somalia's defence and security institutions.
The training was organised by EUTM and EUCAP as part of their continued support to defence sector reform and capacity-building.
